Syria faces a “real war” waged by external forces, Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad said on Sunday in a speech to parliament broadcast by Syrian television.
Assad rejected media reports that the government troops were to blame for the Houla massacre a week ago when over 100 people, including dozens of children and women, were killed in a cluster of villages in Syria’s western Homs province, in what became one of the deadliest single events since the uprising against Assad began in March 2011.
Assad’s speech came a day after UN special envoy Kofi Annan said Syria was “at a turning point” and that “the specter of all-out civil war, with a worry sectarian dimension, grows by the day.”
Assad said Syria was still open for a political dialog, adding, however, this dialog had failed so far to rid the country of terrorism.
“The political process is developing but simultaneously we see an escalation of terrorism,” the president said, adding the authorities would never seek any compromise with terrorists.
“There can be neither justification nor lenience for terrorism nor reconciliation with it or with those who support it,” Assad said, adding he was ready to forgive only those who would give up terrorism.

either get professional help, or stop fucking whinging to your ex girlfriend and just fucking kill yourself
you’re fucking starting to annoy me with this incessant moping, emoing, sobbing, snivelling and complete inability to do anything optimistic with your life. i don’t want to fucking hear about how your stepfather spent money on a second flatscreen TV, or that your mother yelled to you about her own problems. that’s their shit and you’ve got to learn the difference between you and other people
so jesus fucking christ
either get help
or just fucking do it
I’m over it
I’m over you
please stop coming to me every time you stub your toe or fail a test
I’ve had enough.
Ah well, just gotta sit around and hope that I can get these TAFE forms sorted out before tomorrow. Anything’s better than having to fuck around with the shitty “12 units” system in year 11. And if I can complete my course and get into a cert IV next year, that should be all I need to pursue in terms of “following your dreams”.
Still, if dropping school means that I need to have a part time job or certain amount of study hours to keep getting Centrelink money… then there’s no real escaping the system. Either I’m stressed out of my head with irrelevant study, a shitty job with my year 10 math class (bunch of douchebags), or just have to get by with no money for six months.
Ehh, I wouldn’t really mind being kinda broke for a while. It would interfere, yes, but if people can start noticing my art and music, and actually commissioning me, then the internet may reel some money in for me.
Maybe I’m being kind of unrealistic…? I’m thinking that it’s time to trust my intuition, and hope that it leads me in the right direction.
